"The Turning Point"

The Shrine Auditorium is seen as a theatre in Oklahoma City in Herbert Ross's film "The Turning Point" (20th Century Fox, 1977). Shirley McLaine and her husband Tom Skerritt are in the auditorium after a performance of the New York based ballet company they both used to dance with.

Looking across the Hub board offstage left at the Shrine.

Shirley saying hi to the company manager played by Martha Scott.

Another offstage left view with a bit of the lockrail behind Ms. MacLaine. She and her husband are talking to a choreographer played by James Mitchell.

A peek into the auditorium as dancer Anne Bancroft talks to a company member.

Shirley's daughter, played by Leslie Browne, takes class with the company onstage the next morning. The film also "introduces" Mikhail Baryshniknov as the company's lead dancer.

Take a look at the Shrine Auditorium pages on the Los Angeles Theatres site for information about the 1926 vintage building.

It's unknown if the Shrine was used for scenes later in the film. There's nothing of it showing on the screen. IMDb notes that some scenes were shot in Century City, including the fight outside a New York theatre between MacLaine and Bancroft. It's unknown if anything was done at the Shubert.
