We see a bit of the exterior of the Warner Grand in San Pedro in "Must Love Dogs" (Warner Bros., 2005). The film, directed by Gary David Goldberg, stars Diane Lane and John Cusak as divorcees looking for their next love. Well, actually they're not looking but friends and family are trying their best to find them dates. Along for the ride are Elizabeth Perkins, Christopher Plummer, Stockard Channing and Dermont Mulroney.
Our San Pedro shot comes near the end of the film after Diane and John have already blown it several times. He's been with an unsuitable girlfriend to see his favorite film, "Dr. Zhivago," at the Warner. She sees him when getting her nails done across the street. No, they don't make it happen properly this time either. But the happy ending comes along soon.
