"Footprints"

The opening of "Footprints" (Our Gal Pictures, 2009) gives us a pan across the murals on the west side of Grauman's Chinese. The parking lot there has been replaced by a building and the murals are no more.

Another Chinese Theatre west wall view.

An early morning view. In "Footprints," we start with our amnesiac leading lady, Sybil Temtchine, waking up in the forecourt.  The film, directed by Steven Peros, features H.M. Wynant and Pippa Scott.

Action in the forecourt with typical Hollywood characters.

Various passersby try to help our heroine in "Footprints." Playing at the Chinese the week of the filming was "The Brave One" (2007). The pages on the Los Angeles Theatres site about Grauman's Chinese include hundreds of photos of the legendary theatre.

Later we go to a show at the Egyptian. In the forecourt our amnesiac heroine, Sybil Temtchine, meets up with a former star played by Pippa Scott ("The Searchers," "Auntie Mame"). See the Egyptian Theatre pages on the Los Angeles Theatres site for a history of Sid Grauman's first Hollywood movie palace along with many photos of different areas of the building.
