We get a sliver of the Chinese in this process shot from Norman Taurog's "Words and Music" (MGM, 1948). Lorenz Hart (Mickey Rooney) had come to Hollywood and a real estate agent was giving him a tour of the area.
The film about the songwriting team of Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart also stars Tom Drake, Janet Leigh, Perry Como, Ann Sothern, Cyd Charisse, Vera-Ellen, Gene Kelly, June Allyson, Lena Horne, Judy Garland and Mel Tormé. The cinematography was by Charles Rosher and Harry Stradling Sr.
