In "Funny People" (Universal, 2009) we're in San Francisco and get this shot of
the Curran and Geary theatres. We're going in to see a show headlined by a comic played by Adam Sandler.
The film was directed by Judd Apatow and also features Leslie Mann, Seth Rogen, Sarah Silverman, Eric Bana, Aubrey Plaza and Jonah Hill. The cinematography was by Janusz Kaminski.
When we go inside Sarah Silverman is onstage as an opening act and we find that we're at the Orpheum Theatre, 842 S. Broadway.
Leslie Mann heads backstage to see Seth Rogen and Adam Sandler. We're in the trap room, dressed to look like a very large star dressing room.
