Robert Stack knows all the lines for the cartoon he's watching at the Los Angeles Theatre, 615 S. Broadway, in Steven Spielberg's "1941" (Universal, 1979). He's gone to see a showing of "Dumbo." The exterior of the theatre (called the "Hollywood State") was done on the Universal backlot. The film also stars James Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Nancy Allen and Lorraine Gary.

See the pages about the Los Angeles Theatre on the Los Angeles Theatres site for more about this terrific 1931 vintage movie palace.

On IMDb: "1941"
