"Sylvie's Love"

Tessa Thompson is waiting before a Nancy Wilson concert for a friend who doesn't show in Eugene Ashe's "Sylvie's Love" (Amazon, 2020). The film is set in New York in the late 50s and early 60s but for those who know L.A.'s Orpheum, the first glimpse of the brass doors lets you know where we are. The theatre, at 842 S. Broadway, is standing in for Town Hall.
