Jeremy Sisto, Nikki Reed, Evan Rachel Wood and Holly Hunter are going to the movies in Catherine Hardwicke's film "Thirteen" (Fox Searchlight, 2003). It's a tale of teenagers discovering various temptations. The cinematography was by Elliot Davis. In this shot they've just passed Grauman's Chinese, 6925 Hollywood Blvd.
In the background it's the west side of the Chinesse, at this point still a parking lot.
They're headed to General Cinema's Galaxy 6, 7021 Hollywood Blvd.
Up the escalator to the boxoffice.
Nikki and Evan Rachel tell Holly that they really want to see something other than "Kandahar."
A wider look at the boxoffice.
The girls quickly exit the movie and wander Hollywood Blvd. As part of a montage of various sights we get this shot of the Hollywood Theatre at 6764 Hollywood Blvd. By this time it had been turned into a Guinness Book of Records museum.
See the pages about Grauman's Chinese, the Galaxy 6 and the Hollywood Theatre on the Los Angeles Theatres website for more these showplaces.
