We get lots of Los Angeles (as parts of Gotham) in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" (Warner Bros., 2012). Included is a shot of the west side of the 600 block of S. Broadway and the Palace Theatre's marquee advertising their "Grand Reopening."
See the Los Angeles Theatres pages on the
Palace Theatre for a history of the building along with several hundred photos. The theatre opened in 1911 as the Orpheum.
The Los Angeles Theatre, 615 S. Broadway, doesn't actually appear in "The Dark Night Rises" but here we see night filming happening in front of the building. Thanks to Pasha Hanover for this photo. See the pages about the Los Angeles Theatre on the Los Angeles Theatres site for many photos of the grandest of all the Broadway movie palaces.
On IMDb: "
